What is ICS2?
The EU Import Control System (ICS2) is a new IT system designed to collect information on all goods before they arrive in the EU. Relevant Operators (EOs) must declare the security data of the goods to ICS2 via the Entry Summary Customs Declaration (ENS).。

When will ICS2 be implemented？
ICS2 will be implemented from 15 March 2021 and will be rolled out in 3 versions for different transport channels over a 3-year transition period。The first version of ICS2 is effective on March 15, 2021, the second version is on March 1, 2023, and the third version is on March 1, 2024。
ICS2 underwent comprehensive reforms in information technology, legal aspects, customs risk management and business activities. As a result, the existing import control system, ICS, will be phased out and replaced by ICS2。
ICS2 will also indirectly affect all manufacturers, exporters and individuals transporting goods to or transiting the EU. They will have to provide the necessary information to the relevant operators directly affected。
Which companies will be affected by the launch of ICS2？
All operators engaged in the handling, sea and transport of cargo, express or postal cargo are required to provide cargo security data to ICS2：

Tips：
The first version of ICS2 will be implemented in March 2021, and if accurate data on cargo declarations are not submitted to ICS2 in advance as required, shipments to the EU will affect normal customs clearance。
