The Belt and Road Forum releases new signals What opportunities the logistics industry can take advantage of

The overall slowdown in the development of the world economy has brought new challenges to business operations. As an important strategy to promote the warming up of trade between China, Europe and Central Asia, the "Belt and Road" undoubtedly brings new opportunities for the domestic and international logistics industry and releases a new signal of accelerating the internationalization of logistics。

Good regional economic cooperation is inseparable from the support and guarantee of logistics. As an infrastructure, how to grasp the opportunities and find their own development opportunities?

In fact, logistics companies have already taken action, let's go deep into the second "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum held recently to understand what changes will bring us。

Opportunity 1: Take advantage of Dongfeng to expand international logistics business

Accelerating facility connectivity is a key area and core content of the Belt and Road Initiative jointly built by Asian and European countries. Logistics and transportation, energy and communication are all infrastructure, which is the prerequisite for the rapid development of regional trade and economy。

According to reports, over the past five years of joint construction of the "Belt and Road", obvious progress has been made in the construction of corridors and channels in the Asia-Europe region. China-Mongolia-Russia, China-Kyrgyzstan and China-Russia (Dalian-Novosibirsk) international direct road transportation has been put into trial operation。

In February 2018, China-Kyrgyzstan-Ukraine international road transport has achieved normal operation。

All this means that Chinese logistics enterprises have ushered in the spring of expanding international business。

At the summit, Chang'an Min, the largest automobile logistics company in the central and western regions, introduced breakthroughs in international business, including the first adoption of ATA carnet customs clearance, the first opening of the new mode of regional customs carry-over multimodal transport, the completion of the first single business of customs sealing operation in Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Area, zero breakthrough in the operation of the new land-sea channel (export), zero breakthrough in the operation of the new land-sea channel (import), zero breakthrough in the export operation of Changan Ford, etc。

"In 2019, we will settle in Luohuang, gradually migrate the existing business, and extend the front-end and back-end business with the help of the Luohuang hub. In 2020, we will build an international hub, expand new channels and new businesses, prepare to build market outlets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, focus on the Russian and European markets, and focus on "logistics + platform capability building", which is the latest goal of Chang'an Minsheng。

The internationalization of Chang'an Minsheng has given the G7 platform, which connects nearly one million transport vehicles, new development opportunities. The wide application of the Internet of Things and intelligent technologies advocated by the G7 can not only improve the efficiency of the logistics industry, but also help drive the more efficient operation of the trade supply chain, so that enterprises in countries along the "Belt and Road" can achieve true digital collaboration。

In addition, going global with the energy and communication industries to form a green logistics and 5G logistics ecology at home and abroad also creates more possibilities for the future of G7。

Opportunity 2: Upgrading of transportation equipment and export of commercial vehicles

Data show that China's truck exports reached 183,500 units in 2018, which is a new breakthrough since China's accession to the WTO in 2001. Among them, the "Belt and Road" has driven the increasing demand of countries along the route, such as Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Vietnam and other countries, because of the increase in infrastructure projects in construction, roads and railways, and the demand for engineering and dumping heavy trucks is also increasing。

At this summit, Foton Motor officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Thai enterprises, which will contribute to the development of the high-end logistics market and the upgrading of Thai commercial vehicle products。

In 34 countries and regions along the "Belt and Road", Foton Motor has completed more than 70 important key customer projects, and served the "Belt and Road" international key projects such as the TT Railway in Senegal, the Mongolian Railway in Kenya, the KKH Highway in Pakistan, the largest public transport system in Myanmar, the Astana World Expo, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit, with a total of more than 5,000 vehicles。

According to Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Truck, it has provided more than 17,000 vehicles for the "Belt and Road" project, and can be seen busy in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, West Asia, North Africa, South America and other places。

It is understood that many domestic truck brands such as FAW Jiefang and Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle also plan to accelerate overseas investment and construction. As a representative of intelligent commercial vehicles, the G7 digital cargo bay has attracted the attention of overseas countries with its leading technology and unique functions such as AI measurement。

Opportunity 3: Three-dimensional intermodal transportation to establish overseas warehouses and explore business paths

Logistics enterprises located in key positions along the Belt and Road take advantage of the right time and place to lay out multimodal transport centers, such as a logistics company based in Xinjiang and planning a global logistics company, comprehensively planning international routes, cross-border trains, international automobile transportation and other modes of transportation to achieve sea, land and air linkage。

The unique geographical advantages, coupled with the international opportunities brought by the "Belt and Road", have triggered logistics enterprises in various countries around the world to actively extend "olive branches" to domestic logistics enterprises and jointly expand a new path for the development of cross-border e-commerce and international freight business。

At the same time, the growth of cross-border trade volume has made overseas positions a necessary means to reduce operating costs. Choosing cities with high utilization rates and close to key trade areas to build warehousing facilities has also become a new investment direction for Chinese enterprises. Such projects not only become new infrastructure on the "Belt and Road", but also provide new employment opportunities for local countries, promote local economic development, and promote regional economic linkage。

In terms of innovative business expansion, the big data realized by the G7 platform provides accurate analysis and investment protection, and can jointly position more representative logistics project directions with partners。

Opportunity 4: Scientific and technological innovation, sharing successful domestic experience

As a basic support industry, the rapid development success cases of the domestic logistics industry are undoubtedly of great value to the "Belt and Road"。

As an IoT big data platform deeply engaged in the logistics industry, G7 also actively invests in the intelligent construction of the international logistics industry with its in-depth understanding of artificial intelligence and business models, and promotes the development of international smart logistics。

In recent years, G7's successful cases of intelligent logistics have attracted high interest and unanimous recognition from relevant enterprises in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries。

It is the common goal pursued by G7 platform enterprises and ecological partners to promote innovation and change in technology and management of domestic and foreign logistics enterprises, help them deploy and develop markets with higher efficiency and lower costs, and build a shared and win-win global logistics and supply chain ecosystem。

As G7 founder and CEO Zhai Xuehun said, "Technology is profoundly impacting the industry. Globally, intelligent fleets based on IoT, big data and artificial intelligence are revolutionizing the operating model of existing fleets, becoming a new generation of logistics infrastructure and fundamentally improving the efficiency of the industry。

Whether the "Belt and Road" can be substantially promoted when it goes out depends to a large extent on the development capacity of infrastructure industries such as transportation, communications, and logistics。

G7 will continue to take IoT and smart logistics as the core to help logistics enterprises transform, promote the construction of sea, land and air logistics infrastructure, expand the "circle of friends" ecology, and grasp the major opportunities of the "Belt and Road" with partners。
